Should I Play Exotics or Win Bets?

There are so many wagering options these days that it can be downright confusing when trying to figure out how to captilatize on a selection. For me, I play Wins, Doubles, Pick 4s (love them), and occasionally a Pick 5. I almost never play the Pick 6 (I think I've played 4 in my entire life). I love Doubles and Pick 4 bets. I usually play cold Doubles and Pick 4s that require $32 or less investment, and I hit Pick 4s at about a 25% clip. I'm not a trifecta player or an exacta player, although my friends usually hit these bets with my selections. It's hard enough picking the winner, let alone picking some flyer that can land 2nd or 3rd. If you're new to wagering, stick with Win bets. Keep it simple. Once you get a better understanding of the game and the different ways to invest, expand your wagering options, but remember to keep your wagers at 5% or 10% of your total bankroll.
